Your data in CorekChat: who owns it and how it's protected

It's one of the first questions worth asking before putting your business on a platform, and it's good that you ask it. Here's the short answer.

#Your restaurant's data is yours

Your menu, your orders, your conversations and your customers' data belong to your restaurant. CorekChat uses them only to provide the service: it doesn't sell them, doesn't share them with other restaurants and doesn't use them for anything else.

For your customers' data, the party responsible under the law is you (the restaurant), and CorekChat acts as a processor: it handles that data on your behalf and following your instructions. That's what the Privacy Policy says, at https://corekchat.com/privacy.

#Who can see it

Each restaurant only sees its own data: one restaurant's information is isolated from everyone else's.

Inside your account you decide who gets in and what each person can do, with roles and permissions. You can turn on two-step verification, we email you when someone signs in from a new device, and you can close any open session from your panel.

If the CorekChat team ever needs to enter your account to help you, it does so with a support access that has a written reason and a limited duration, view-only by default, and that you can see and close.

#How it's protected

Information travels encrypted between your phone or computer and CorekChat, and it's stored encrypted. WhatsApp connections and access keys get an extra layer of encryption. Accounts are locked after repeated sign-in attempts with a wrong password, and there's a record of who did what inside the panel.

#Backups

A full backup of the information is made automatically every day, and the last 30 days of backups are kept.

#If you cancel

You can cancel whenever you want from your panel. The service stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. Before your information is deleted you can ask us to export it, and on paid plans you can download your orders, contacts and menu as spreadsheets at any time.
