If you recommend CorekChat to another restaurant and that restaurant becomes a
customer, you earn a reward for every month it keeps paying, for twelve months.

Your reward is delivered as **subscription credit**: it's deducted from your own
bill. It's not money you can withdraw, and it isn't refunded.

## How a referral of yours is counted

You get your own link. When someone comes in through it, a mark is left in their
browser that lasts sixty days: if they sign up within that time, the restaurant
is linked to you.

They can also type your code by hand in the sign-up form. If they type a code,
it wins over any browser mark.

A restaurant is linked **only once and forever**. If it's already linked to
someone, it doesn't change afterwards.

## When you start earning

With the **first payment** made by the restaurant you brought in, not with its
sign-up or its trial. Your twelve months run from that first payment, and each
referral has its own clock: if you brought one in March and another in August,
each is counted separately.

## How much you earn

It depends on how many active restaurants you've brought in. The percentage is
recalculated on the first day of each month:

- 1 to 3 active restaurants: 15%
- 4 to 9: 20%
- 10 or more: 25%

It's calculated on the monthly list price of the plan your referral signed up
for, for twelve months. **It's the same whether your referral pays month to
month or pays for the whole year**: the only thing that changes is when you're
credited.

If you move up a tier, the new percentage applies to whatever hasn't been
settled for you yet. What you've already been credited doesn't change.

## How your credit is applied

Before charging you for a cycle, the system deducts whatever credit you have
available, starting with the oldest.

- If the credit covers part of the cycle, you're charged the difference.
- If it covers all of it, **you're not charged anything** and your plan is
  extended just the same. Your access doesn't change at all.

A credit expires twelve months after it's issued if it isn't used, so the one
closest to expiring is used first.

## Frequently asked questions

**Can I withdraw the credit as money?** No. The credit only reduces your
subscription.

**What happens if my referral stops paying?** You stop earning from it starting
that month. What you've already been credited isn't touched.

**Can I refer myself?** No. The system detects when the email or phone number
match yours, and that link is put under review.

**What if the restaurant I brought was already our customer?** That link is put
under review. The program recognizes new restaurants.

**Where do I see my referrals and my balance?** In the partner portal, which is
linked in the footer of corekchat.com. You request access with your email and
you get a single-use link: there's no password.

**How do I find out what my link is?** You see it as soon as you enter your
partner portal, right at the top: your link, your code and a QR code to download
and share. The welcome email includes both — the link AND the code — so you can
use whichever is more practical: the link to share in chats or on social media,
the code to say out loud or type when a link can't be pasted. If you can't find
it, write to us and we'll send it again.

**Does my referral get anything?** Yes: their free trial is thirty days instead
of fifteen.

**What does the person who comes in through my link see?** If they land on the
CorekChat home page, they see a notice with your name and the thirty-day
benefit. When they tap to create their account, the sign-up form already has
your code filled in: they don't have to type it or remember it. If instead they
get your code on its own (for example, if you told it to them), they can type it
by hand in that same form and the system instantly confirms whether it's valid.
