title: Alert frames: a border that warns you

When an important notification arrives (a customer asking to talk to someone, a
table ordering from the menu, WhatsApp disconnecting) the notification appears
in a corner of the screen. If you want to notice it out of the corner of your
eye, or from far away, like the kitchen tablet three meters off, you can add an
**alert frame**: an animated border around the whole screen that comes with the
notification.

They come **turned off**. You turn them on in «Marcos de alerta» (Alert
frames): in the dashboard, under «Configuraciones» (Settings) (from your account
menu, your initial at the bottom left); in the phone app, under «Ajustes»
(Settings).

## Which frame goes with each notification

Each notification comes with a recommended one, chosen so the frame means
something:

- **Chat waiting for a person**: the complaint ladder. It starts with a red
heartbeat; if nobody has picked it up after a minute, electric arcs are added,
and after three minutes everything pulses faster.
- **WhatsApp disconnected**: an electric arc, like a connection that was cut.
- **Plan payment declined**: heartbeat.
- **Late order in the kitchen**: orange neon smoke, like something that's
overcooking. The Kitchen screen shows it when an order has just gone past the
  promised time.
- **A table ordered from the menu**: a light-up that starts where the
notification appears and opens in two.
- **Calling the server**: a light-up that comes out of the four corners.
- **Payment receipt to review**: a light-up that goes all the way around.
- **New reservation** and **reservation moved or cancelled**: neon orbit.
- **CorekChat Support signed in**: a scanner with a timer. It's the only
notification that uses it, so it always means the same thing.
- **Order ready for delivery**: neon smoke, like the steam from a dish leaving
  the kitchen.

You can swap any of them for another frame or choose «Sin marco» (No frame) for
that notification. The «Probar» (Test) button shows the frame full screen for a
few seconds, even if frames are turned off, and choosing another frame also
tests it. «Volver a los recomendados» (Back to the recommended ones) undoes your
changes.

## How they behave

- **One at a time** is shown: if two notifications arrive, the most urgent wins.
- It lasts as long as its notification and turns off when you close it.
- It doesn't cover anything: you can keep tapping the screen with the frame on.
- It belongs to **this device**: the register, the kitchen tablet and your phone
can each have different choices, just like notification sounds.
- With **animations** turned off, the frame appears still, with its glow, and
  keeps warning you.

## Settings, in the dashboard

Everything about your account is in a single window, «Configuraciones»
(Settings), which you open from your account menu. In the «Personal» group:
«Mi perfil» (My profile) (name, email and password), «Seguridad y dispositivos»
(Security and devices) (two-step verification and connected devices),
«Preferencias» (Preferences) (light or dark theme, text size and animations) and
«Marcos de alerta» (Alert frames).
